Massage

I have been practicing massage for over 12 years, and so even though I am qualified and skilled in various "types" of massage I usually incorporate elements from all of them into a treatment. I am now so familiar working with the body that the treatment just flows through me, and my hands go to the areas that need attention without thinking about it.
I always use organic aromatherapy (essential oils) to complement the treatment and to awaken other senses, and can adapt pressure to whatever you require, whether it is deep tissue massage or a relaxing, nourishing massage.

Traditional Thai Massage

This is an ancient form of body therapy, commonly practiced throughout Thailand.

I use a wonderful combination of acupressure, massage and gently applied yoga stretches, using my hands, feet and elbows in a flowing series of moves.

This is a fully clothed massage given on a futon mat on the floor. With gentle rocking, deep stretching and compressions it assists in the natural rebalancing of your muscular-skeletal framework.

It is very much like a form of meditation for the giver and receiver as we both move into a space of gentle trust and receptivity.

Known as “lazy man’s yoga”, you will feel invigorated and centred after a treatment.

Benefits:

* Brings balance throughout your body

* Restores any left-side/ right-side imbalances

* Relieves your stress

* Improves your circulation and organ function

* Encourages "letting go" of any holding patterns in your body

* Increases your flexibility

* Relaxes and invigorates all your layers of muscles, ligaments, joints and connective tissues

Cultural Bodywork

Cultural Bodywork is based on the dance-like, flowing movements of traditional Hawaiian Kahuna Massage (Lomi Lomi), with the insight and spirit of the Maori and Aboriginal cultures. The touch is powerful and respectful, and allows for transformation on a cellular level.

Using natural oils, I use my hands and forearms in long fluid strokes, of varying degrees of intensity, in a gentle rhythm over your entire body.

On a physical level this healing art moves large volumes of your blood and invigorates your lymphatic flow throughout the body, bringing oxygen and nutrients to every cell. Muscle contractions and tensions are relieved, circulation is improved, and elimination of toxins is increased, thus improving your body movement.

By releasing physically held tension, the corresponding emotional aspect can surface and also be released, stimulating the flow of energy within you to promote self-healing.

Cultural Bodywork connects with the soul, listens to the spirit and heals through the body.

Indian Head Massage

Indian Head Massage is a popular treatment based on Ayurvedic techniques involving oil massage on your upper back, shoulders, neck, scalp and face. A variety of massage skills are used dependent on what you require.

There are numerous acupressure points located upon the head, and therefore many tensions can be released from the body by working on this specific area.

It can ease your headaches, anxiety and stress, neck or shoulder stiffness, tinnitus, sinusitis, mental tiredness, insomnia, hair loss and thinning, and eye strain.

You will experience a deep relaxation and increased clarity in your thinking.

“If you are feeling careworn or stressed, a treatment from Ele - either massage or acupuncture - is sure to soothe away those tensions and stresses. I have been to many masseurs over a period of about 15 years, but none have matched Ele when it comes to understanding the needs of the client and empathising with those needs."
C.Hare, Worthing

"It is like a thousand gentle waves washing over the body."
